Equine Dimension founder, Sharon Alley, is an Eponaquest Instructor, qualified to offer introductory courses in the basic philosophy and methods of the Eponaquest Approach™ to Equine Facilitated Experiential Learning, which provides the foundation for all of the Equine Dimension programs. In addition to applying the guiding principles of the Eponaquest Approach™ to the exploration of a particular topic, Introductory Workshops include explicit discussion and practice of the following basic philosophies, skills and activities:
- Using emotion as information
- Accessing a more authentic, creative presence
- Recognizing and moving beyond conditioned behaviors and thought patterns
- Setting Boundaries: establishing and maintaining clear and consistent personal space
- Body Scan: using the body as a sensing device
- Hands-on activities with horses as guides
- Developing essential skills for building Authentic Community
Participation in one of these workshops is a prerequisite for individuals wishing to do advanced work at Eponaquest, and is also required prior to acceptance into the Eponaquest Apprenticeship Program.
